Osteopaths in the late 1800’s, discovered and developed an astounding therapeutic intervention called, Craniosacral Therapy (CST).
The science of how CST works is not easily explained to laymen or professionals, so consequently Craniosacral therapy has been misunderstood and discounted by the more mainstream, traditional therapeutic models as a valuable modality and intervention for the treatment of brain injuries, chronic headaches, migraines, TMJ, visual disturbances and a myriad of other ailments and disorders.
Craniosacral’s gentle, non-invasive, light touch induction, encourages the body’s inherent healing and self regulatory mechanisms and capabilities to moderate or relieve the destructive effects that internal and external stress and dysfunction play upon our skeletal, central and autonomic nervous systems.
Since 1998, we have utilized CST in our treatment approach for patients presenting with brain injuries, strokes, fine and gross motor coordination impairments, chronic head pain, TMJ, spinal curvatures, learning disabilities, primitive reflexes and so much more.
For our patients who have suffered brain injuries and have been told that continued progress beyond two years of their injury is “not likely”, these patients have time and again proven that this prognosis and long held medical belief…just might need to be re-evaluated!
